Perzische Tapijten
Van der Hulst Perzische Tapijten (Van der Hulst Persian Carpets) is an international company with more then 40 years experience ancient and contemporary handmade oriental carpets. In 1970 Alphons van der Hulst became employed at Con & Verdonck, one of the best known oriental carpet firms in the Netherlands. That choice was not difficult because his father was the managing director / purchasing agent. From him he learned a lot about oriental carpets. By travelling with him towards the countries of origin, visiting auction houses and international carpet importers his knowledge and love for the profession continued to increase. In the mid nineties Alphons van der Hulst was sworn in as a chartered assessor of oriental carpets. He started his own company, Van der Hulst Perzische Tapijten, in 1996 specialising in antique oriental carpets. Van der Hulst Perzische Tapijten has been certified according to the European Standards as a licensed assessor of oriental carpets and is a member of the federation TMV, 'Federatie Taxateurs, Makelaars en Veilinghouders in Roerende Zaken' (Federation Assessors, Brokers and Auction Holders in Moveable Property) www.federatie-tmv.nl in Amsterdam.
